"This book incorporates my previous works, "Patterned Mittens" vol I (2003), vol II (2005), and vol III (not published), the material from booklets "Patterned Mittens from Seto County" (2006), "Patterned Mittens from Viru County (2008) and other pieces that I managed to collect and put into writing by Midsummer Day 2009." (pg 10)

A collection of 175 mittens all shown in beautiful colour photographs, with graphs of the stitch patterns.

Author Aina Praakli documents beautiful colourwork mittens from her research, each with a photograph of a reconstructed mitten, colour charts of the design, and detailed information on the source and her personal comments. Many of the mittens are from the collection in the Estonian National Museum. This is a wonderful resource for knitters.
