C'est la vie

C'est la vie! combines simple rows of lace and knit-purl textures to create this easy-to-knit yet beautiful wrap. The "vee" shape sits comfortably on the shoulders, and the ruffles add extra flair.

The wrap is worked by creating two pieces of diagonally patterned, rectangular fabric, one longer than the other. The pieces are joined at right-angles to create a vee-shaped wrap, and then stitches are picked up along the edges for the ruffle.

The pattern uses 4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles and recommends aran weight yarn. This sample was knit with Needful Yarns Filtes King "Extra" Australian Merinos in colour # 2015 (13 balls at 50 g = 90 m/99 yds) and "Extra Stampato" #8008 for the ruffle (4 balls at 50 g = 90 m/99 yds).

Recommended for Intermediate knitters.

Recommended needle size:
4.5 mm (US 7) circular needles with aran weight yarn.
