Genevieve, an elegant pullover vest with drop shoulders and small cap sleeves, is worked in a rich overall lace and texture pattern inspired by Japanese stitches. The asymmetrical collar adds a stylish note.

Front and Back are knit separately with charts provided for shaping at the front neck. Sleeve caps are picked up and worked in the round, then the collar is worked back and forth, using larger needle sizes as you go to flare the collar.
Sample is knit in Silken Merino Copper.

Design Details                   

Recommended yarn: Fiddlesticks Knitting Silken Merino, each 50 g ball 105 metres, 114 yds (DK weight, 50% merino wool / 50% tussah silk)

Gauge: in lace pattern with 3.5 mm (US 4) needles: 4 inches = 19 stitches and 29 rows

Knitted measurements at bust, yarn requirements:
Size 1: 34 inches - 8 balls
Size 2: 38 inches - 9 balls
Size 3: 41 inches - 9 balls
Size 4: 44 inches - 10 balls
Size 5: 47.5 inches - 11 balls
Size 6: 51.5 inches - 12 balls

Needles: For Body: 3.5 mm (US 4) straight or circulars; 3 mm (US 3) straight or circulars
For Sleeves: 3 mm (US 3) 16-inch circulars
For Collar:
3 mm (US 3) 16-inch circulars
3.5 mm (US 4) 24-inch circulars
4 mm (US 6) 24-inch circulars
4.5 mm (US 7) 24-inch circulars
