Harmony Vest
from Fiddlesticks Knitting

This versatile vest features a harmonious combination of interesting texture, lace and cable stitches. Fun to knit and flattering to wear, it can tie to fit elegantly and closely (as shown here) or casually and loosely.

NOTE: Fiddlesticks Patterns use charts.
There are detailed instructions on the garment construction, how to work the charts and special stitches, but the stitch pattern designs are all charted.

Gauge: in stocking stitch, after blocking:
4 inches = 19 stitches / 30 rows

Sizing and Yarn Requirements:
Knitted measurement at bust.
Fiddlesticks Knitting Silk Sensation, 100% silk, each ball 50 gr/115 metres, 125 yds(approximately), an elegant 100% raw silk yarn.
Size 1: 34 inches - 8 balls
Size 2: 38 inches - 9 balls
Size 3: 42 inches - 10 balls
Size 4: 46 inches - 11 balls
Size 5: 50 inches - 12 balls
Size 6: 54 inches - 13 balls
Ease can be allowed by how tightly the vest is tied.

Recommended for Advanced Intermediate knitters.

Recommended needle sizes:

• 3.5 mm (US 4) 24" circular needles (or straights for body and circulars for collar)
• 3 mm (US 3) 24" circular needles (or straights for body and circulars for collar)
• 3 mm (US 3) 16" circular needles for armhole bands
• 3.5 mm (US 4) double-pointed needles (for I-cord)
• or sizes to obtain gauge

Addi Turbo Lace Knitting Circular Needles
These fabulous new circular needles from Addi Turbo - the long respected name in well-crafted knitting needles - offer you enhanced features for both lace and sock knitting. They have sharp tips making it easier to work fine stitches; the needles are coated to give just the right amount of 'stick' so you have better control of lace stitches; and they have smooth joins between the needles and cord.

When selecting a needle size note that while the pattern has a suggested size (see above for Recommended needle size), you may need to use a different needle size in order to get gauge. If your experience with other Fiddlesticks patterns is that you have to go up or down a needle size to match gauge, then select the appropriate size.
