from Fiddlesticks Knitting

This elegant silk top can be knit as a short-sleeved Tee or a 3/4-sleeve Tunic. The pretty eyelet lace and picot edges add feminine touches to a versatile and flattering garment.

Recommended for Intermediate knitters.

Recommended needle size:
3.5 mm (US 4) 24" circular needles (needed for neckline—straight needles may be used for body and sleeves if desired); or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge in stocking stitch, after blocking:
4 inches = 19 stitches / 30 rows

These fabulous new circular needles from Addi Turbo - the long respected name in well-crafted knitting needles - offer you enhanced features for both lace and sock knitting. They have sharp tips making it easier to work fine stitches; the needles are coated to give just the right amount of 'stick' so you have better control of lace stitches; and they have smooth joins between the needles and cord.

When selecting a needle size note that while the pattern has a suggested size (see above for Recommended needle size), you may need to use a different needle size in order to get gauge. If your experience with other Fiddlesticks patterns is that you have to go up or down a needle size to match gauge, then select the appropriate size.
